Join Brainphonics as our first commercial hire, working directly with the founders to build a repeatable sales engine and grow software sales from €100k to €1M+.

About us

Brainphonics is on a mission to make hearing care more inclusive, efficient, and impactful, especially for vulnerable patient groups that have difficulties communicating about their need.

As a MedTech startup and university spin-off, we bring revolutionary neurotechnology into clinical practice. Our flagship product, CORGEE, is a CE-certified medical device that enables objective, brain-based hearing tests without requiring active participation from the patient.

Our team is based in Leuven, multidisciplinary, and personally driven by creating impact in the hearing sector. CORGEE is already generating revenue and being adopted by leading clinical partners. We are now entering an exciting new phase of growth, with a strategic focus on scaling and building a repeatable commercial engine.

That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for our first full-time, fully commercially-oriented team member to help transform a validated innovation into a global success story. You’ll work directly with the founders, shape the go-to-market strategy, and play a central role in Brainphonics’ growth over the coming years. This is a hybrid role with Leuven as your home base.

What you’ll do

  • Own revenue growth: Take ownership of the full commercial process, from first contact to signed contract. You’ll identify opportunities, build relationships, and help grow Brainphonics from €100k to €1M+ in annual revenue.
  • Build the sales engine: Lay the foundations for scalable growth. You’ll professionalise our CRM, implement sales processes, define KPIs, and help establish a repeatable commercial playbook.
  • Shape the strategy: As our first commercial hire, you’ll work closely with the founders to evaluate competitors, explore new markets, test commercial hypotheses, and feed customer insights back into product and business decisions.
  • Represent Brainphonics: Be the face of the company at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings. You’ll build trusting relationships with audiologists, ENT specialists, rehabilitation centres, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Generate and nurture opportunities: Develop creative ways to build pipeline, engage prospects, and support our marketing efforts through LinkedIn, conferences, partnerships, and targeted outreach.

Your first 90 days

During your first three months, you will:

  • Become the primary point of contact for commercial opportunities
  • Build a structured and measurable sales funnel with clearly aligned KPIs
  • Develop a deep understanding of the audiology market and customer needs
  • Qualify and advance opportunities across multiple regions
  • Identify at least one promising new market segment or growth opportunity
  • Propose a scalable plan for lead generation and market expansion

By the end of this period, you’ll have established yourself as the driving force behind Brainphonics’ commercial growth.

Who we’re looking for

  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven: You thrive in environments with autonomy and responsibility. You don’t wait for instructions, you identify opportunities, take ownership, and make things happen.
  • Strong communicator: You build authority naturally and communicate clearly with different audiences. You’re comfortable discussing complex topics in a simple and engaging way. You are comfortable using modern communication tools and social platforms like LinkedIn to build brand presence and engage with the medical community.
  • Commercially minded: You like to pick up the phone, answer customer questions, qualify opportunities, and move deals forward. You combine persistence with empathy.
  • Relationship builder: You enjoy meeting people and creating long-term partnerships. You align with our values that great impact in healthcare is built on trust, credibility and genuine care for the patient’s outcome.
  • Collaborative: You enjoy working closely with a multidisciplinary team and believe the best ideas emerge through collaboration.

Your experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in B2B sales is required.
  • Experience in audiology, healthcare, hospitals, or medical devices is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a valuable bonus.
  • Willing to regularly travel for conferences and customer visits.

What we offer

  • A unique opportunity to join a high-impact health technology startup at a pivotal stage of growth.
  • Direct collaboration with the founders and a meaningful voice in strategic decisions.
  • The chance to build and own the commercial function from the ground up.
  • A flexible working environment with a hybrid setup and approximately three office days per week in Leuven.
  • International exposure through customers, conferences, and partnerships.
  • A full-time contract with a competitive salary, with possibility for stock options and performance-based bonus structure.
  • Significant opportunities for professional growth as the company scales.

Our hiring process

  • Intro call: A first 30-minute conversation with one of the founders about your background, ambitions, and the role
  • Skills deep-dive: A role-specific, practical interview with a team member, discussing relevant experiences, skills, and potentially a short case study.
  • Team meet: Meet the team and get a feel for how we work together.
  • References: We’ll speak with two references you trust. You’re welcome to ask us for references too.
